07/01/2016 By Back Country Horsemen The views are really great up here even on a bit of a cloudy day. Silverheels has been in the clouds all day so limited views up, but the valley was clear. These trees can be over 1,000 years old!
FYI-I don't know where the cache page parking coordinates are but this road is no longer open to any motorized use so everyone will need to park below at the intersection with the main road and hike (or ride if you are an extreme mountain biker or horseback rider) up to these caches. I really wished I had my horse, but bringing him up just for a day with the BBQ event this afternoon is logistically tough. Plus that rocky, steep V'd section of road would have been really tough on him.

07/26/2015 By RGTK Found today on a beautiful morning in the mountains. Great location with awesome views of the Mosquito Range. Cache is still in perfect shape. I particularly liked the logos on the container (I was born in Sidney, GO BIG RED!). Signed log, favorite point from me. T4T$!
09/06/2014 By WingsAndTales These trees always fascinate me. We had a great hike today. I removed a few food items from the cache which is in great shape. TFTC
