Take a walk around Maxwell falls and come find this cache. It's located downhill off the main trail and well camoflauged, I placed this cache during a recent snow storm, so it should be available year round. Happy Hunting, BYOP

I wandered around this ares for some hiking and caching today. I made the find here at 11:37 am. It was a blast. Thanks for the cache and for adding to the fun!

Next is to climb the hill to the west and see if I can find those 5 caches up there.

Out and about on a nice mid-winter day for some geocaches - this was the fourth of nine - also, this was the second stop on a park-once-find-four excursion. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

This was my motivation for the mountain trip today. The cache has been out for quite a while with no finders. Time to remedy that! I followed well tread paths for much of the journey. Found the container without a problem. Great placement and camo! My fumbling fingers dropped the lid twice. Happy to stamp my name in pole position. I put everything back together as it should be.
Today I headed west after work to grab a few caches while hiking in the mountains. Traffic up was crazy. A driver pulled onto 285 where the speed limit is 55. She pulled into the traffic lane and I had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting her. Instead of speeding up, she came to a complete stop. Cars were honking at me because I had to stop behind her! But I digress. I stopped by King Soopers and grabbed some snacks for the hike. The temperature was around 27 degrees as I set foot on the trail. I gathered my supplies (including my Diet Coke fountain drink) and headed out. When you are hiking 27 degrees doesn't feel that cold. It was beautiful and I was following well marked trails. Soon I realized that I didn't want to carry a fountain drink. So I found a memorable spot and put it down to pick it up on my return trip. As I continued up the mountain the snow pack varied. Anywhere from non existent to 4 or 5 inches. I collected several caches and even pushed through hip deep snow drifts to make one find. Beautiful views. I saw evidence of several critters, but didn't get to see the critters. The sun fell behind the mountains before I was headed back to the Jeep. I was surprised at how long light hangs around after the sun had dipped below the horizon. I arrived at the Jeep just as the last bits of light were fading. Then I remembered what I forgot.... my fountain drink. Back to the trail to pick up my litter. Grabbed it and once again returned to the Jeep. The return trip to Denver was just as eventful. This time a driver merged right into me. I swerved into the other lane to avoid being hit. Luckily, I got around her because I saw and heard the cars honking as she meandered along the road doing what appeared to be around 25 mph. Crazy driving day, but great caching day.
Thanks for the cache!
