NGS Benchmark Series. This is a series to show geocachers more of our nation's benchmarks. Though they can be found in every county in the continental U.S. benchmarks are are just another little known survey tool to the public. But when you look on the NGS site or Geocaching.com you can see every detail about them. There is also description for each that tells exactly where they are. These descriptions interest me the most, at times you have to wonder where in the world did the railroad track go that was 50 feet from a certain benchmark years ago. I hope that this series gives a historical insight to geocachers of what our country looked like in the years past.

05/14/2019 By Colorado GeoDemon The white rock is there but the cache container appears to be MIA. I hope the CO can replace soon.
04/14/2019 By Berb57 I only had a minute to stop. Found the white rock but no cache. I'll have to come back sometime and see if it blew away in this wind. Maybe someone else will find it first.
12/25/2018 By Path_Lighter Merry Christmas! Out caching with Mokidog on this cold, clear, windy day. Found the container about 60 feet away from the GZ. Moved it back. SL TFTC
