Here lies a dead coniferous and a pile of igneous!

Over the last few years I've been solving some crazy hard puzzles, traversing some difficult and not so difficult terrain, and often going back to places I had just hiked in order to find a newly placed cache!  The day this cache was placed was no exception!  There's nothing quite like climbing a mountain only to have to climb a tree to find a small bison tube!  Ha ha!  I love the series and thought of making a tribute someday.  This is only a half effort.  I will plan a much better tribute in the future!

I had considered finding some super obscure MIT level math equation in order to solve this one, then thought maybe some simple 1+1=2 level math for fun, but decided against that too.  The puzzle and solution are contained in this page.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

I've treked these trails many times over the years and really do enjoy the beauty here.  From steep cliffs, gentle stream, open meadows filled with wild hops vines, to thick coniferous forests, hopeully you will enjoy it too, (Or again).

Start your journey at the posted parking coords.  You will follow the trail to the posted coords of the cache where you will find a junction.  Head uphill to the east from there.

Good luck!  Have fun!

Thanks to Gamma & Gampa for all the fun puzzles, caches, and hikes over the years!  Keep 'em coming and as always, thanks for all the help!

As a beta tester/hider with the CO, unlike HD, I did not need to worry about the aforementioned beasts of the woods up on the trail as we huffed and puffed our way up the trail. I'm sure they were scared away and wondered "What the heck is that?!" Still was a great day on the trail with a few spots of snow around and a view that extended to the tops of Denver International Airport while no animal interactions happened! TFTC

Take only memories, leave no trace of your presence there!

FTF!
On hump day!!

I waited till the temperature got above freezing so it was a fun hike out and back.
With about 2” of snow on the ground I was able to sneak by all the dangerous animals stated in the note below without being detected.

Thanks for the puzzle cache!

While I cannot claim FTF on this, I'd recommend to others to watch for the bears, elk, deer, and possibly, very possibly, the notorious front range mountain lion! It has been known to stalk man and beast in these woods while taking prey for a mighty morsel to quell their hunger, day or night!
