No need to park on Interstate. Pull into parking area at MP50 on Eastbound I-70 and follow the arrow on your GPS. This cache is not for a caudal appendage challenged beaver.
This parking area is the old Hwy. 6 before the Beaver Tail Tunnel was constructed. The area has access to the Colorado River, a picnic table, shade trees and garbage cans.

The cache is located at the end of the older Hwy 6 that is not the old Hwy 6 you drove off the Interstate on. Let the name of the cache guide your search. The 30cal ammo can is hidden under a small rock, in a pile of rocks, no need to move boulders.

Original contents include: Wooden Train Whistle, Super Ball, Patriotic Bandana (this item should be familiar to local geocachers, especially Bob Rich), Cylume Stick, Musical Teddy, Crayons, Roll Type Lint Remover, Heart & Feathers Hair Clip, Gold Dollar, Carabiner, Log Book and writing instruments.

I parked a little past where I should have which in turn required me to do a little climbing. No problem on this clear, cold day. Got to the cache and made a quick find. TFTC.

Just a little walk up the old highway, nice views. TFTC

After finding Left in the Dark, we got over-confident and headed for this one. You have to pick the right level, but then you have the beaver's tail to search. But it is there! Thanks for a cache: the container and log are in good shape.

If you traveled this road before there was a I70 you went right by the cache if there had been geocaching then. And good thing you don't need to move the big Boulder to get the cache. Fun cache and good walk.
Out having fun today, finding caches and enjoying life.
THANKS FOR THE CACHE

Cache # 1900. SL as PeachBob

Traveling on I-70 and decided to swing in and look for several caches on this old road. You definitely want to read the description to find this one. Also, when you get to the GZ there is no need to get too close to the cliff. Well stocked cache. Grabbed a TB that wintered in the cache. Thanks for the interesting hide.

When I saw the construction in the area I was afraid we wouldn't be able to get to it but everything worked out just fine. I left a TB for the next cacher. TFTC

Folks,

Regarding the terrain difficulty, follow instructions/hints in description. You can drive to within 20 feet of cache. DO NOT STOP ON INTERSTATE. DO NOT CLIMB ANYTHING. FLAT WALK FROM CAR TO CACHE.

It's a five star terrain and one difficulty. Wasted half an hour on the side of the interstate trying to figure that out.

Found on June 30 with PLSF gang as I drove within 30' of this one. Half of the crew thought I had gone bizerk on this one but I never felt uneasy, not even turning around there.

Fun cache but definatly not wheelchair friendly
