Accessible only to WESTBOUND traffic on I-70. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS FROM EASTBOUND LANES!

Located at a pull-off 9/10 mile WEST of mile-marker 53.

Here you can stretch, cache, get rid of your coffee cups, then dash (see caution below) back onto I-70.

CAUTION: The speed limit in this portion of De Beque Canyon is 60 MPH. Colorado State Patrol loves to write speeding tickets in this area!

It felt like I was hitting the pits at a NASCAR race as we pulled in quick like after the railing ended, into gravel, missing the pot holes, and slid to a stop just inches behind a parked semi-truck whose driver was giving his two pit bulls a bathroom stop. Growl, yourself. Anyway, Sylvia had the container in her hand before you could say, "Are they nice pit bulls?" Signed, replaced and we pulled back into the race, er, I mean, pulled back onto I-70. Vroom, vroom!
