Baxter was an onery, fat, pizza lovin’ dog who hiked this trail many times and lived in the neighborhood below. He had a favoroite willow tree in the front yard that he would dig a hole under every spring. He would sit with his butt in the hole. So that is what we called it. His butt hole. In the beginning I would fill the hole in, but then he would dig other holes in the yard. So we made an agreement, I would not fill in his butt hole and he would quit digging other holes. That is how he lived life—on his own terms.
Baxter loved pizza til the end of his days. He loved it so much he would bark a perfect strangers if he saw them eating pizza and they were rude enough to not share with him.
