The sky is dark, the ashes are falling … the dust swirls in the air.  As the dark clouds are rolling in over the city, we sit patiently waiting … waiting for the silence to cease the deafening ringing in our ears. The screams!  The horrible screams!  The terror!  Not sure which is worse … silence or chaos!  We are hopeful to find more living.

The last 24 hours have been the most terrible our nation has ever seen. N They came out of no where. XX No one know how they started, but they are spreading rapidly. XX.The are the Walkers.  XXXThey kill and devour human flesh … they come out of no where and attack with inhuman strength.

Your mission is to take a message to the chamber so they know you are alive and well. WBe careful to watch your back for danger is around every corner.XXXYou will come across stages with instructions for the next. XX.Each stage has a puzzle for you to solve.XXXThe first is at ground zero.HINT K=0We believe that the Walkers have cleared that area, but be aware they lurk … behind bushes and trees, in streams and large grasses. They can smell your beating heart and when they attack it is fatal … for a mortal that is … you will become one of them.  And we will have to hunt you instead.

Today I started the day by meeting @2lablovers at a puzzle final. TNext we tackled this which I thought for some reason was a multi. I initially solved for both the long and short routes. But the CO indicated that the short route was more fun, so that's what we did. At the final we saw a few crows harassing a hawk. We finished the day by heading west. Finished the day with 21 caches. Great day.
This one definitely earns a favorite. One note, a stage is broken, but doesn't affect anyone's ability to finish the multi. I wish I hadn't waited so long to do this one. It was a blast! TFTC!

This was definitely the highlight of the night for us. We had started on this one before and found the first stage (short version) but then for some reason had never continued. Today we teamed up with LostinDenver to battle the zombies. Found the first stage after some searching. Completed the field puzzle and moved on. At the next stage the sneaky zombies attacked. We never saw them but suddenly George had a bloody nose. This certainly put some speed in us to solve this puzzle. We all remembered seeing this type before but luckily LID had the best memory and was able to solve it. No zombies seen so we quickly moved to the final stage. Found an artifact so knew we were in the right spot and soon were signing the log. We began seeing movement in the trees and made a hasty retreat to the safety of our cars. Awesome multi - favorite point.

I have looked at this one off and on for years. I figured out the long way but was not able to find anything when I went out to look for it. So, I let this one sit.

Fortunately, I know smart people who can hang with other smart people like yourself. As much as it pains me to admit, herndonrd is a smart person. He figured out the short way and began this quest in his own.

Part of why I question herndonrd's intelligence is that he chooses to associate with me. Furthermore he turned to me for help on a stage. Well, this blind squirrel can find a nut on occasion and I was happy to be useful for a change. As a thank you, he invited me to join him on the rest of this adventure. The final location had lots of options so we spread out searching. I did what I do best and found all of the places where you didn't put the cache, while herndonrd did what he does best and found the cache right where you put it. After we did the whole sign and replace thing we celebrated our victory by heading back to the car and then driving off to another cache.

I enjoyed this puzzle in part because it gets me very close to finally completing the Uber Mystery Challenge. Thanks for the fun puzzle, hide, and for getting me outside on such a beautiful day.

P. S. No animals (humans or otherwise) were harmed in the writing of this log.

I don't watch this show (my wife does) so no relevant "walking Dead" comments from me. Solved both the short and long way for the start of the puzzle and got through the first 2 WP (the container at WP2 has been destroyed but the clue is still there). Got help from FeartheFish to get the WP3 location and we went out and found it today. Final is about 30' off the coordinates but with some effort can be found. Interesting cache and the containers along the way. I understand there are some more interesting containers on the "long" route. Give it a fav since my wife loves the series. TFTC!

It's been a long time since there has been any activity on this cache so I thought maybe the WD had gotten to it again. Started on the longer path & got some info there with just a tiny piece missing. We escaped from there as the zombies were pulling in to party at the Dead End. We found the final (I think) that was just replaced over a year ago still in fine shape but as we signed the log we could hear more zombies mumbling all around us. TFT adventure.
