Are you ready for a little 4WD adventure? This cache is located on the south side of Blue Mesa Reservoir, near the "Middle Bridge". The roads leading to the cache are rough, rocky, dirt roads which are VERY slippery when wet. There is a short rocky walk uphill to the cache. BE PREPARED FOR WIND! Elevation at the cache: 8040'
Locals have names for all the bridges over the Reservoir. The Lake City Bridge is at the east end, the Lake Fork Bridge is at the west end, and then there's the bridge in the middle. Take the Lake City Cutoff (CR 26) off of HWY 50, west of the Middle Bridge. Turn east onto the power-line road and follow it, then turn onto the loop which goes all the way around the Fourmile Gulch inlet, then turn back onto the powerline road. There is an obscure, steep little jeep road off the powerline road that will take you very near the cache -- you just have to find it. The cache is a short walk uphill from this road.

At the cache, there is a spectacular view of the Reservoir, the Middle Bridge, Dillon Pinnacles, the Red Creek Fortress (not an official name), East Elk Creek Pinnacles, and the volcanic welded tuff-capped mesas on the north side of the Reservoir.

This cache is one of several caches around Blue Mesa Reservoir. The cache is in a clear box with a red rim.

**Advisories**
Don't Get Stuck!: These roads are built on clay -- they are very slippery when wet, and if you get stuck, you're a long way from help. Watch out for the wet grassy pickup-truck-wallow on the road near the cache. Also, be aware that the land just west of the cache and in Fourmile Gulch south of the power-line road is private land.

Hunting Season!: Hunting seasons in Colorado are in September and October. If you venture out during hunting season, be sure to wear some blaze orange and be noisy.

As always your caches are great!! Fun little drive, beautiful views, good area for my new dog to run and lots of goodies in the cache. Geo-dog just had to have the red duck bandana so I left a Rifle, CO pin and a carabiner. Thanks for the fun.
