Dogs  Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Significant hike  May require wading  Available during winter  Cliff / falling rocks  Drinking water nearby

Awsome hiking in this area.  So much to do in this area.

This is my first attempt at placing a cache and this area is one that I hold near and deer!  This area holds many secrets waiting to be found from Gold/Silver/Elk/Deer/Bighorn, I could go on but you get the point.  Easy find, just a bit of a hike, take an hour or so and enjoy the area.  Be careful around the stream depending on the time of year.

FTF! The snow melted back enough over the week to allow RockDok and me to get to this cache without too much post-holing. The creeks are raging, but there are plenty of places to get across. After we got to what we thought was GZ (the signal bounces around a lot), we spent the better part of an hour trying to find the cache. We felt like "Wild Goose Chasers" rather than "Gold Creek Hunters"! We decided to bushwhack through the forest on the way back, which I don't recommend -- the trail is a lot easier. I hope cybermoser will hide more caches in our area -- we like challenging hikes to remote places. BTW -- BYOP. TFTC

We tried to get there today, but 1/2 mile away from the cache we were met with wall-to-wall snow! 1/2 mile of postholing in thigh-deep snow didn't sound like fun, and chances are, the cache may be buried in 3 - 4 feet of snow. Plus ... we had been following the tracks of a mama elk and her calf, and there was the possibility of meeting up with her and getting stomped to death! It may be a month before all that snow melts out. We will be back!
