We are so excited to find this one without phoning a friend! Thanks to Panther & Pine for writing the note last summer and assuring that the cache was indeed where it should be. The coordinates were spot on! However, the hint is no longer applicable. That particular trash holder must have been removed. Originally, we encountered a small, probably seasonal stream as we approached GZ from the north. But we figured out by walking west along the path until we reached a footbridge that crosses Junction Creek, then taking a small trail to the left instead of crossing bridge, we could approach the cache without getting wet. Then, it was just a matter of geo sense and luck. The coach was in good shape, a jar rather than 4X8 Tupperware, a little muddy on the outside but dry inside. TFTC!

Stopped by today using my memory, this cache is still in place just where we found it three years ago.
Retrieved the coin I left there.

Could someone swing by and check on this one, my poor coin has been hiding here for ages. Else we'll do it in July when we move back.

Needs Maintenance 07/30/2013 By LasCabrasDeMontanas
We were in Durango and thought we'd do something special for our 900th. So, we looked at all of the puzzle caches. This one hasn't been found in almost 2 years. And, the last log was a DNF and stated that local construction my have destroyed this cache. Based on this, we didn't even want to try. I'm sure others look at it this way also. I feel that it's awfully extreme to log a "Needs Maintence;" but, your fellow geocachers need some reassurance. Thanks for checking on this for the community. If still active, we'll try in a few months when we return. Thanks for placing the cache.

Finished the series and our final answer and your hint over lapped exactly. BUT it's been over a year since the last find AND there is recent dirt work and wood chips in the area. I suspect it is gone.

Dropped off a coin of ours.

Performed maintenance on this. Dried up. The log is still a bit damp but not bad.
