Cache is a 35 mm canister sporting a cammo cover, sitting in a wind blown alcove, behind a Gambel's Oak grove. Replaced canister with an ammo can, same location. :0)Sounds like such a pleasent location, HOWEVER this cache is for the little more adventerous, nimble and slightly daring cacher. In otherwords, some bouldering abilities are required, but no rope and technical tools of the trade are needed.
Was driving down the DeBeque to Mesa road the other day and the sunlight was starting to get low in the late afternoon and it came to me. It was the Rock Man from Neilson's the Point. There he was, sitting there looking to the west, sleeping soundly. Tried to sneak up to the top of his head, but realizing I didn't have anyone with me to call for help, in the event I took the short way down, I stopped just behind his head. While your on top, you can see Indian point to the west. Umhhhhhh?
Have fun, be careful and remember - a fifty two year old guy placed it. :0)
None needed, but do be careful both on the way and coming back down.

08/12/2018 By KnightsAdventures Not sure if we took the wrong way up but our gps’ bounced wildly around a tower we thought would be the head of the giant but couldn’t seem to get a stable location. We walked circles around but eventually decided to retreat for lunch. LOVED getting off the highway in our route rounding out the end of our honeymoon to climb in the rocks and really appreciate the time it must’ve taken to place this cache. We would’ve loved some clues on the best location to get started but we would totally try again.

08/31/2016 By <> I've searched for this several times from the Debeque road side. We spend several months in Collbran each year, and I couldn't stand driving by any longer. I parked in the gravel area on SR 65 and headed down a dirt road heading east to a grazing area past the power line pole. I passed through the fence to the meadow, went about as far as the pipe you can drive over and found a way up just east. After heading north and west I climbed several layers of cliff, toward the second power pole. Continuing on to near the 3rd power pole, I was high enough to head west to the cache. Being near 70 years old and 5 foot 2, it was a challenge, but I placed one foot hold after another and made it relatively easily. Very easy find once you are close. S*W*A*G member
