Welcome to Dinosaur




Cache is located outside the visitor center in Dinosaur, CO and no contact with staff is needed to find it. Although the center will be closed December through February the cache will be available year round. Visitor hours are from 8am to 6pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day and from 9am to 5pm from Labor Day to Memorial day.

This cache is located at the west entrance to Colorado along scenic Highway 40 in the town of Dinosaur.

Permission has been granted by the staff for the cache placement.

Day 2 of our trip from Kansas City, MO to Antioch, CA to see the granddaughters. Today was from Burlington CO to Salt Lake City, UT, picking up counties we needed in Colorado and Utah. A good day of sunshine and just a little rain, and able to find almost every one we tried. Interesting scenery, snow still on the ground in some places, and some fun, quick caches.

Had to wait for a muggle to finish her cigarette before grabbing this one. Fun to see someone else had also signed it today.

Thanks for the work you put into these fun caches and all the smileys.

On a road trip to California and the goal is to get the NW counties of Colorado today. Enjoyed beautiful, sunny skies today with moderate temps. Really enjoyed the scenery this state has to offer.

Arrived after the office closed but was able to find the cache without any problems. I really liked the street names and street signs in this town. TFTC!

I did a great tour to 7 states of the USA and saw so many beautiful places. I also really liked this location. This letterbox I found after a vistit in the visitor center.

Grammy doll snags it again! Cool cash nice size container. Thanks for the hide. We've seen a lot of action in dinosaur today. Police officer writing a ticket on the 40 towards Vernal period in the horses decide to read out across the road as we were coming into dinosaur. Thank goodness the police officer was there to slow the drivers down or else the truck driving in the opposite direction from us would have had a horse as a head ornament
