If you see the rock formation that resembles a dinosaur laying down you're close. It is said that the natives watched a group of settlers cross the Rio Grand River and travel all day then camp south of these rocks planning to attack and kill them. But they ended up making friends with the settlers instead. From a distance this rock formation looks somewhat like a sleeping buffalo. When approached from the southeast as you approach it looks like a person is climbing up the rock. As you move around it also looks like a person looking across the valley towards where the settlers camped. HIGH CLEARANCE VEHICLE IS REQUIRED! Not recommended for winter.
