In 1935 Nobel Prize winning physicist Professor Erwin Schrödinger devised a now famous thought experiment. The scenario presents a cat that may be simultaneously both alive and dead, a state known as a quantum superposition, as a result of being linked to a random subatomic event that may or may not occur. The scenario goes like this: a cat is locked in a box. Also inside the box is a tiny amount of a radioactive substance. Over the course of one hour there is an equal chance that one of the radioactive atoms either will or will not decay and emit radiation. If the atom does decay the radiation will be detected by a Geiger counter, and a relay mechanism will trip a hammer, which in turn will break a vial of hydrocyanic acid thus poisoning the cat. Now here’s the fun part: Until the box is opened at the end of the hour and someone observes it the cat is both dead and alive. Only by being observed does the cat change from from being both alive and dead to either alive or dead.
As crazy as this may sound scientists are still arguing about Schrödinger’s Cat today.

In order to claim credit for this cache you must open the box and discover a live cat (and sign the log). You cannot claim credit for finding a dead cat or no cat at all. Start your search at the posted coordinates. There is a fun prize for the first to find a live cat.
