Found with Cache U on a wonderful tour of an area we had yet to explore. The roads were surprising good, although we took the geomobile just in case. We had lunch next to a creek which was more like a raging river given the runoff we've had this spring, but it was very pleasant and a nice break in our travels. Thanks for the fascinating trip through time!

Found this with Sam_I_AM on a great daytrip to escape the heat. We had gathered the Sage's information a few months ago, but had to wait for warmer weather to get to the areas. We had never been this way before, being relative newcomers to the state, so it was great to explore and learn more about Colorado's interesting history. We made our last stop just before a huge thunderstorm rolled in. It would have been ironic if we'd been struck by lightning, given the location. Thanks for checking our information before we headed out, and thanks for a grand old virtual cache!

A Tahosa cache is guaranteed to be interesting and this one is no exception. It always amazes me to get a look at the early history from our state. After the research was done with a course correction from the CO, it was fun to make the drive with kenyansherpa to collect the answers. I hope to return to the area once more of the roads are open for summer and explore some more. TFTC

A true classic! Thanks to Tahosa and Sons for another virtual that touches all the bases: fun, educational, and challenging! To make the day even more special, I got to share it with Wings and Tales. We had done our research independently and when we realized we both were seeking this one we looked for a date we could make the drive up and enjoy the adventure together. Fortunately before setting out we compared notes and realized we only partially agreed on the coordinates of the stages, so each of us sought some additional hints, me from a previous finder and Karen, being smarter than me, of course went right to the CO. That proved fortuitous, since our next comparison set us on the "Way the Sage" wanted us to proceed. It was an outstanding day with one additional feature I had never experienced while caching, a cattle drive ( see photos )! The CO confirmed our answers, so it was fun to get a smiley that I will always cherish!!

I needed a little help from Tahosa on this one, mostly on Two Sisters. Once I had that, the rest fell into place without too much trouble, so I thought I'd knock it out before the roads got too snowy. That didn't work out as planned, as I ended up with a failing tire just as I reached the Sisters and had to high-tail it back to Ft Collins before it went flat (needed a new valve). I suppose I really ought to check my spare one of these days.
I went out today to get the other two locations and finish up. That was a lot of driving! At one location a crowd was just gathering for some sort of Christmas event, while the other had a line of cars waiting for a Christmas tree sale. I've never been to this area before so it was an interesting drive for me. Thanks for a fun cache!

I started working on this cache last year. I have to admit that I had to visit the Sage twice before I had gathered all of the necessary information. At least on the second visit I knew where to look which shorted my visit. Today I made my way back up to Loveland and this virtual was my primary goal. I think I arrived in Loveland around 7:00am and after finding all of the waypoints I finally made it back at 1:00. That was a long round trip and the road construction and detours didn't help. Thanks for the history lesson and showing me some places I had never been before!

Animjason and I started this months ago. Then I was diagnosed with a glioblastoma and ended up getting the required research book from the DP library system and did most of the research from the ICU at Aurora Medical South.I am a bit more mobile now but still cannotd rive so we teamed up with Mark and Andrew as we did not think Jason's vehicle could make it on all the roads,

Met up with Sassydil and Animjason in Denver, then headed up to the Sage for some quick field work and met OneKindWord to complete our foursome. I struggled through the research part of this, so nice to have some other opinions along to help out with the interpretation and understanding of the waypoints. Beautiful day in the mountains and the aspens are just starting to change colors too! Cheers!

This cache doesn't get very many visitors and the Sage was lonely. Schedules lined up, research paid off, and we grabbed a smiley! Email has already been sent. Thanks for another virtual. Got some fun photos along the way. Posting one of them from our meeting point :)

Amazing caching experience! I tackled this one today with animjason, sassydil, and Youkfish. We spent some time at the first stage gathering information and piecing things together. Once we thought we had things figured out we hit the road. We had a few missteps in our calculations along the way, but eventually we were able to get everything figured out. Saw some really interesting history in a very beautiful area, at the perfect time of year! Thanks for creating this awesome virtual cache!
