Once upon a time there were three cachers that were roaming the misty highlands above Estes Park.
And being Cachers they thought this place was deserving of a fine cache.
So they hid a cache, and now you must find this cache in the Highlands above Estes.

Park your vehicle and go see the Man and his dog. There is a start and end date there.

When you find this awesome gentleman who was known to listen to some ~Scottish Ballads~ fill in the blanks, for these numbers will give a value to the letters. Then these values will be used to reveal the coordinates for this cache.

Now take a bearing of 223°M for a distance of 320 ft. and go to the NW corner, where you will find 9 placques.

Our Colorado vacation continued today with a drive from Grand Lake to Estes Park. Mostly, we were working on the Across the Divide GeoTour. But I noticed this multi and decided to give it a shot. After a bit of calculating, I came up with a parking location that seemed reasonable. Once we made our way there, we completed the calculations and came up with a cache location that also seemed reasonable. The hike was as advertised, right at about a mile one-way. Not too much elevation gain or loss, either. Late afternoon was a perfect time for it. We arrived at GZ and spotted the container very quickly. Everything inside is in great shape. I dropped in one of my unactivated Lackey tags for a future finder. TFTC!

If one looks at the experience of those that recently searched for this cache it is evident that they lack the said experience that is needed to find the calculations in town as to where to take a hike. I even wonder if they even figured out the solution using the Position Formats that are on the cache page.

Because none of them ever mentioned or asked about the trail or what difficulty was involved with the hike. I do believe that the cache is still where I placed it.

I did my homework last week while dining out in town and made the hike this evening. I had single digit readings at the final! Cache is in good shape too. Cheers!

Mrs GDH & I Spent a fantastic 24 hours with doctk & Mrs tk with an overnight in their cabin. We spent the day caching around Estes Park on Friday before the big crowds arrived for the weekend. We attempted this one yesterday but I think we must have messed up on the numbers. Will try it again!!

Found with Sam_I_AM and HelloKitty on a nice family walk in the gloamin. We had gathered the necessary info on a previous visit to Estes Park, so had this one planned for awhile. Cache in great shape; thanks for the fun multi and bit of Estes Park history!
