Up for a day hike? Then this is the cache for you! This cache is a 3 stage multi located on the Beaver Creek Trail up Four Mile Road just outside of Glenwood Springs, Co. The road is not maintained past a certain point in the winter. If you are a snowmobiler, cross country skier or a snowshoer, you can walk to the trailhead, it's only another 1.5 miles. In the non snow months the road is gravel and any car could make it. To get to the Beaver Creek Trail take FS 300 on your way to Sunlight Ski Area. Drive about 8 miles up this road and continue to follow FS 300 which will require a right hand turn at the snowmobile sign. If you make it to the ski area, you've gone too far. The turn is 0.5 miles past the cattle guard. Drive about 4.5 miles on this road to the Four Mile Park sign. The trail head is just to your left across from the v in the road. Beaver Creek Trail # 2092. Start hiking. Trail is only about 3 miles round trip. Final cache is an ammo can. All stages are off the ground to avoid the snow. Hike is an enjoyable walk through the woods. The trail is not hard especially if you're used to the elevation. Bring a picnic and enjoy!!

Beautiful, beautiful Fall colors. Really spectacular. I was navigating and we got on the wrong trail on the way to the final. GPSr said we needed to go a direction I didn't think was correct. For the first time since we've started caching, I got out my sighting compass because the trees were playing havoc with the GPSr. Turned out the GPSr was correct. Backtracked and found the turn we missed and soon were at the final and made the discovery. Thank you for placing this cache so we could enjoy the game. sl LW77 and SC77 My CITO geocoin is doing a touch and go landing.

Nice Multi-cache! We completed the series on a rainy afternoon hike on the Beaver Creek Trail. We found the first stage laying on the ground. The clue sheet was soggy and barely readable. Stage two was intact except an "eye" was missing; we found and replaced it. The clue helped with the final stage. T: geocoin. L: TB. SL. T4TC!

What a Wonderful Multi-cache!!! We had a great fall drive up the road past Sunlight and a nice little hike to the 3 part hunt. The clouds and trees probably didn't help the GPS tracking, but the finds were well worth the effort! Double the distance of the clues, or call them yards instead of feet will help. Very cute ways to hide the clues. Stage 1 was not hanging like perhaps it was meant to be, so maybe the next person should bring some twine. Stage 2 was very cute! The final cache was not exactly where my GPS indicated, but the clue was good and it was close to the right spot. The ammo can still has lots of good prizes. We took the VCR tape "American Pie 2" and left a chip clip and Dream Catcher. We had lunch a short distance from the cache in a good shelter of trees which helped brunt the force of the pea-sized hail and rain storm. It was a wet muddy trip back, but still a fun day. Thanks for the caches. That was GREAT!

Stage one is at least 80 feet from the trail but coords are right on so no problem.
Stage two is more like 40 feet from the trail and the coords are a bit off so just keep looking in a 25 or so foot radius and you will find it. It is really cool.
The cache is North by Northwest of the posted coordinates about 60 feet the clue will help.
P.S. The cache was on the ground and I could not tell where it was hanging from so I left it there.

Thanks for a fun hike. The adventure to the cache was as advertised and the treasure in the cache....WOW ! I took a picture, had a lunch and left footprints. The first two stages were very creative and the coords were right on, I particularly liked the second stage. Thanks again for the great day-hike. Happy Trails!
