The cache is an ammo can hidden among some volcanic rock and high meadow brush. The cache hide is a 1.5, BUT the road to get here is a 5+. Only accessible by 4x4 with good clearance, ATV, dirt bike, horse or long hike from the lower parking lot. Watch the skies for late afternoon thunderstorms. It can make the ride down quite exciting!This cache is placed where the road to the Battlement Reservoirs first tops out. Years ago there was a large wooden sign that would direct you to either the Battlement Resevoirs or the Cache Creek trail. The old sign is long gone and has been replaced by a newer metal sign. Be sure and bring a camera, the views are breath taking.
