I am a loss for words on this one.
About nine years ago I was in a group of experienced Geocachers at an Event talking about this one not that they did, but it was on their list.
At that time I took a look at it and put it on the back burner so to speak.
And over the years on some hikes and even heading up I25, I could see this rock formation, to finally be here was a little overwhelming and unbelievable for me anyway.
Very special thanks to Kerewin0430,YamaGypsy and RPieperCO for the heavy lifting on this one.
As for the CO, I am very fortunate to have found some of your fantastic hides over the years and looking forward to a few more in future.
Thanks again!

This one has never been on my to-do list, for good reason! However, we were going to be nearby to get a very lonely cache that I've had my eye on, and RPieperCO couldn't resist! :-) While he made the treacherous climb, Hartsdale served as his primary ground crew. I was anxious just thinking about being up there, while YamaGypsy played it cool. We were very grateful to see him return safely to solid ground!! We were there about an hour before sunset, just as the light hit the mountains in the most beautiful way..I can only imagine how much more beautiful it really was from up top (but I'm okay imagining)! Thank you for placing this one and adding to the day's adventures!

Wow! What an adventure! While Rick did all the hard work we stayed close and echoed a few "marco/polos" so we knew he didn't fall off the other side. Hartsdale provided some spotting at a tricky point. Kerewin0430 and I documented the ascent and descent. Great spot, definitely not a cache I ever thought I'd get. Tftc!

What an adventure!!! Thanks for the fun cache! Set out today with Hartsdale, Kerewin0430, and YamaGypsy to grab a lonely cache. Knowing that this one was only just a little further I wanted to get it too. The approach was easy enough but then the daunting task laid ahead. Lucky for me I am not afraid of heights and really really love climbing on rocks! I set out on my journey across the ridge. Knowing I had a rough distance to cover i packed everything tight. Can't imagine what phone would look like after falling off here! Once I got to where I suspected it might be... (should have read the description first) I realized I had passed it! Ugh! Lol! No worries. Backtracked some and took another reading and read the description. 3 feet! Nice! Took a few minutes to locate but I had it in hand. Signed for the 4 of us and proceeded to snap some pictures and enjoy the view and beauty! The return trip was pretty easy too. Just a few spots I had to double check my grip and footing. I'll admit, I've watched the video of this cache a few times. I was a bit terrified, but once there it really wasn't that bad. Just take your time. For those who have even the slightest fear of heights... Wow... A likely heart attack awaiting them! Back to the ground everyone was grateful I survived. I shared some pictures, broke the bad news that I did not sign for them and it was their turn next! ha ha ha!! I'd do it again anytime. Awesome cache! Giving it a favorite!
Good bye... See you soon!
That was fun! You should see the other side!

I won't log a DNF here because although we got to within 20 feet of GZ, we were probably about 100 feet or more BELOW the cache. That's when one of our group members read the entire description out loud and we all realized what was required to get this cache. Rather than risk our lives out on some crazy looking rocks, we decided to skip this one and continue up the trail to the airplane wreckage site.

Everything went well after I found a place to legally park - spent way too much time trying to approach the wrong way for a civilian. A great little scramble with an interesting move at the beginning and then everything going fine after that. Had a false start, but corrected that and found the cache after overshooting it (but this is FUN!) and turning back. Thanks for the interesting scramble and smiley!

AWESOMENESS! This cache has been in my sights and today CM06 and I decided to tackle it. As he said, it is a good thing I am part Man, Mountain Goat and I'll add Monkey. We found an excellent route for our experience level and he found it as I overshot the cache to go see more of this cliff. After we rejoiced, I followed him to spot him on some tougher spots, then ran back up so he could take some pics of me at the top (much thanks!). Great hike and rock climb! We dropped some rocks form the top and they took nearly 6 seconds to hit bottom! Math people: how high is that? ;) FAVE! Enjoy our pics.

What a crazy stupid adventure Animjason and I had today as we covered the valley from side to side hiking, climbing, and sliding in pursuit of silly things all hidden using mutil million dollar satellites. This hide is no joke. This should not be attempted by the average cacher, none the less my dumb ass! However, I was accompanied by a half man half mountain goat today and we slowly picked our way across the rock. I got to a point where I thought I was done. I jump out planes for a living and had yet to experience fear of those proportions. Had Jason not been there to talk me through what I needed to do and encourage me to not die I would be logging a DNF right now. Victory was so bitter sweet when we snagged the container and signed the log. I like to do a happy dance on caches like that but given the nature of the location I remained seated and stayed happy! Incredible hide my friend and worthy of a fav point from me. I see that rock every day and it is nice to finally say that "I got it". TFTC!

Yes, Virginia, it really is up there. The cache is still in great shape- even after the delay since the last find. I ventured up there by myself today to give it a go. I had a very narrow time window- but not as narrow as that knife edge ridge as I came to find out. The wind gusts were intense and unpredictable today. Once I was up on the edge a fearsome one hit and I lost my hat-- I had tightened it down just a few minutes earlier (should have put it in my pack... doh!)-- and I watched it sail about 500 feet on a straight horizontal trajectory straight west and up into the canyon. Bummer. That was one of my favorite hats. If anybody comes across a blue Keva hat with embroidery from the Pyramid Brewery in Berkley CA, please let me know. This was one of my favorite caches to date (not that I have done that many). Now I need to go and find all of the similarly placed caches around. Don't worry- Vort has provided me with a list of the ones I should do. Lucky to be living in Colorado Springs! TFTC!!

Is it really UP THERE?
