Theres no long hike to the cache but......
It's an Easy grab outside of Cripple Creek Overlooking "the World's Greatest Gold Camp"
On a clear day you can see the Sangre Cristo mountains over 50 miles away
The altitude is almost 10,000 feet above sea level with uneven walking terrain.

Nearby is the the Pikes Peak Heritage Center and lots of parking
There's plenty of other things to do nearby. Great hiking trails, You can take a ride on a old narrow gauge train, Go on a guided tour down into the earth at the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine, Historic things to see, and of course there is about 20 casinos in Cripple Creek down below if you are feeling lucky.

No, it's not a long walk, but at this altitude, and uphill, it's a challenge. Great container, even though it had rotated on it's branch and was hanging upside down.

Our day to Cripple Creek for some gold mine tour and caching. We may stop off and drop some coins in a slot machine too. We so get to check out all the beautiful fall colors in the amazing Rocky Mountains.

Some may say we are crazy, but this game/hobby is one of the greatest gifts. Who doesn’t love a great scavenger hunt. Hiking, biking or driving hundreds of miles to sign our name on a piece of paper. This brings us a lifetime of joy.

12:42 PM We are here from Dallas for our typical August vacation in Divide in order to skip the Texas heat for a couple of weeks.

After visiting the museum, I hunted this one using my phone GPS. I couldn't find it, so I came back after lunch with my nine-year-old niece and my real GPS and, of course, she made the find. A cool container and a great view. Happy to add a favorite point.

We worked our way from Indiana to Colorado Springs via Columbia, MO and then WaKeeney, KS. After spending five days at Garden of the Gods Campground with the Geowinnies and my brother and his wife we headed to the Cripple Creek KOA. We’re doing a little caching and sightseeing between the rainstorms that we hear are much needed in this area.

Today was absolutely gorgeous and sunny with only a spot of rain that happened during our walk on a virtual cache. We found this cache on our journey today and thank RustyBeerCan for it and for the smiley. Loved the container and tour of the building. Favorite point given.
