This is a Wherigo cartridge that will have you answering questions about Colorado as you wander through Izaak Walton Park. The questions will not be too difficult but there is a twist. Each time you get a question right, you will be given your current distance from the geocache. You will not be told which direction to go. You will have to figure that out on your own. This cartridge was inspired by the Reverse Wherigo Geocache but we added a Colorado twist. This is the first Wherigo in Boulder County.

Download the cartridge and get started.

What is Wherigo?

For those of you who don't know, Wherigo was created as a means to reintroduce the adventure game genre by making it easy for anyone to create and play location-based adventures in the real world. Using Wherigo, the physical world becomes the background for engaging story lines and location-specific virtual entertainment.

Wherigo is a platform that allows you to build location based GPS experiences on your computer and play them in the real world. Rather than searching for puzzle clues on a screen, you look for them in the field. Using Wherigo, you can create interactive tours, adventure games and puzzles... the possibilities are endless.

How can I play this Cartridge?

First off, you'll need the appropriate Wherigo Player on a Wherigo compatible Hardware (Pocket PC, Garmin Oregon or Colorado GPS, Android Smartphone, or iPhone).

Congrats to BluePearl on the FTF!

Couldn’t find

Visiting a friend who used to live in St. Louis. Wanted to do this Wherigo because this park is near her. Matter of fact, when I was here a few years ago we walked here and I found a couple of caches. I had downloaded it before leaving St. Louis but for some reason I couldn't find it on my phone so I had to download it again on site. Then I couldn't seem to get it to do anything. I fooled around with it for a while and finally saw that I had a question to answer. I thought I put in the right answer but it was wrong. It took me about 6 tries to get to the final. I'm lucky I've been coming to visit this area all my life and I really like Colorado or it would have taken me more questions. A couple I guessed at and was right once and wrong once. But it was fun and a nice walk.

Just about froze my hiney off but enjoy this one a lot. Left hubby in the car and I came out to give this one a try. Amazingly hit it at step 7. Where I was 12 feet away. Enjoyed answering the rest of the questions as I walked the rest of the way. Tftc

Yes! A Wherigo cartridge I can do! Peace love pi, the little one, and I stopped by here on this cold and wet day. We just about had the place to ourselves, I think we only saw one jogger. I found a couple Wherigos like this in northwest Arkansas, so I had an idea of how this works. As we moved around to get distances we stopped at the artwork. It would have been cool to see it move, but it turns out the three of us weighed less than 200,000 butterflies. Oh well! We were able to get the coordinates to the final and peace love pi made the grab. We really could not get the log out, and we noticed how people added slips of paper so we did the same. Thanks for a great Wherigo and the smiley! Find #2864.

Out with lasouthpaw and the little one on this damp, grey day. We met earlier for a unsuccessful attempt at a nearby puzzle. After licking our wounds we decided to give this one a go. I've never done a Wherigo like this - I thought it was really unique. We had an enjoyable walk in the park and were able to make the find after 4 clues. We couldn't get the log out of the unique container, so we signed a piece of paper and added it to the collection. TFTC! This gets a favorite.

Visiting from MN and wanted to get as many cache types in the state as u can. This was a different take on a whereigo. It took me a few tries to get pointed in the right direction but it made a lot of sense once I got going. The log was pretty difficult to extract though. Thanks for the cache!
