When I first arrived in Colorado, I was looking for a good place to hide a cache.
Imagine my amusement when I discovered a mountain top of my own.
I knew I had to put a cache there. Two years later, I finally completed that quest!

... and after another year, I've gone back and loaded the area with each size.

This one is the large-sized hide, and, while it's not a gigantic container, it is the largest one up here. You're looking for a wide ammo can. It is fairly obvious where it is hidden when you get to GZ. I had to fill in the lower part of the opening since it was too tight for the can. Even though it is a larger/heavier rock, I would suggest removing just the upper part of the pile and pulling the can out that way.

Except for the Regular and Large container's, which are ammo cans, you're looking for a theme to the other three.

Please replace the cover so it's semi-protected from critters, weather and the chance-muggle.

Please be careful. There are many loose rocks that otherwise appear to be very stable.

SKuLL Rock

Congrats to 9-rushman&farmgirl79 for the FTF!!

It was a gorgeous day for a hike on SKuLL Rock. I was accompanied by youkfish and the cache owner (THeSKuLL). Words cant describe how beautiful this location is. The views are amazing. After spending a good amount of time here, I understand exactly why the cache owner chose this spot for a cache. Thanks to the CO for taking us on a hike up his mountain.

Today was our day to conquer Skull Rock and find all six of the SkuLL Rock caches!!
Unfortunately we only found five of the six. (Guess which one eluded us--ha!) No trouble finding this one!! SL Replaced as found. Thanks for this fun series.

As the storm moved closer I thought I would be going down for this one. Although it was a bit lower there was still plenty of exposure so i hoped this would be a fast find. Unfortunately not so much because of the terrain. It took another 20 minutes. Finally got to the right level to spot this one and grabbed myself a purple skull.

Today was the day that we planned to grab the remaining caches (micro, ? and large). But we were only able to find 2 of them. The ? eluded us for the second time. We didn't expect the sun so strong and the heat so high today. We also didn't take enough water with us. We only took 4 for the both of us and could have easily drank 4 each. So we were both dehydrated and got burnt by the sun. But at least we were able to find this cache. Thanks.

Had a great hike today with WingsAndTales and billkat. The weather was wonderful with blue skies and light breeze, and between us all we were able to make all the finds. Great views from up here of the river, and the burn area. Thanks for bringing us up here!
