GOING  BATTY #1

 

Welcome to my new Bat caches.  When I lived in Missouri during the summer of 2003, I worked at Ozark Caverns within Lake of The Ozarks State Park. Ozark Caverns has remained mostly natural as there is no lighting installed in the caves, which makes it a great habitat for bats.  I learned quite a bit about bats and wanted to create a few bat puzzle caches: the "Bump In The Night" for Snag The Tag is the perfect time to do it too.

Bat Fact #1

Bats are the only flying mammal.

 

Bats are the only mammals that can fly in a sustained fashion.  Of course, everyone has heard of flying squirrels, but they can only glide, and gliding doesn’t count as flying.

Had a great morning picking up all 13 Going Batty caches with LittleAries. After yesterday's rain/snow and cold it was nice to have a sunny day for caching. Even got to watch the Blue Angels and other acrobatic planes practicing for this weekend's show. All containers were very cute and in good condition.
Thank you, jbullfrogcache, for creating this series. I love these types of do-able puzzles. We look forward to the associated "Bump In The Night" event.

I’m the area for work and saw this new group of puzzles so decided to try my hand at the first one. Fun puzzles and cool container! Pretty sure I pulled up as other cachers were leaving. Tftc!

It is a nice afternoon and I thought that I would go a little batty and try to grab all the current "Going Batty" caches. I was successful and all the caches were as advertised. I enjoyed the clever container! Thanks for the effort to put out all of these fun caches!
