GOING  BATTY #2

 

Welcome to my new Bat caches.  When I lived in Missouri during the summer of 2003, I worked at Ozark Caverns within Lake of The Ozarks State Park. Ozark Caverns has remained mostly natural as there is no lighting installed in the caves, which makes it a great habitat for bats.  I learned quite a bit about bats and wanted to create a few bat puzzle caches: the "Bump In The Night" for Snag The Tag is the perfect time to do it too.

Bat Fact #2

Bats are nocturnal.

 

Bats are creatures of the night! If you see one during the day, that usually means there is a problem. The bat may be sick, or it’s resting place may have been disturbed by a predator.

 

During the day, bats sleep wherever they can find a safe haven.  They may roost in a cave, building, chimney, hollow tree, bat house, or even a crevice in a rocky area.

Had a great morning picking up all 13 Going Batty caches with LittleAries. After yesterday's rain/snow and cold it was nice to have a sunny day for caching. Even got to watch the Blue Angels and other acrobatic planes practicing for this weekend's show. All containers were very cute and in good condition.

It is a nice afternoon and I thought that I would go a little batty and try to grab all the current "Going Batty" caches. I was successful and all the caches were as advertised. I enjoyed the clever container! Thanks for the effort to put out all of these fun caches! Last one, yea! Gets a favorite point for the series.

We headed out to spend a windy, chilly day caching our way to the NoCo Geo-Night Out in Berthoud. Met up with FLM and Rjjuul at GZ to team up and go find a few caches together. Nice job on the container.Very nice hide, SL,TFTC
