This one wasn't really in the plan for today, but since I was so close (I thought), why not check it out? And once started....But it was a great walk in a new area. Thanks for putting this multi out here.

This is a very nice trail. On foot, wheels or hooves it would be great. But the straight line mileage from the parking lot to the final is about half the trail miles. I signed the log and left a fossil tooth or two. There's room for bigger swag and it would be nice if someone would drop off a pencil just in case. Then I was about a 500 feet back down the trail when it dawned me that I'd dated the log as 7-12-16 instead of 8-12-16. Oh well, a few more steps didn't hurt.

I actually found the first two stages several weeks ago and came back for the final today. I made a stupid mistake and put in the coordinates incorrectly and went off in the wrong direction. By the time I realized it the sun was getting pretty low & I decided I didn't want to be up there after sunset. Luckily I had photographed the second stage so I did not have to revisit it. It was nice and cool this morning, but I worked up a pretty good sweat by the time I got back to the truck. It took a while to find the container as both my Garmin & iPhone were bouncing around like crazy. The views from the final were amazing (I will upload photos). It's really green up here right now. I took one travel bug and discovered the other one. I took a rubber bug and left two old wheat straw pennies and some Get Out of Hell Free cards. Thanks for the awesome and really fun multi. Favorite added.
