The Land of Hidden Treasures Cache: Finding the cache is easy, figuring out the four numbered combination to access the cache is the hard part. The interpretive displays at the Moose Visitor Center hold the clues to reach the cache.

Clue #1. Words in Rudyard Kipling's poem minus the magnifing glasses multiplied by hoofed tracks in the mud.
*Hint - secret magnifying glass in a drawer.
Clue #2. Daily wage divided by fish on a string multiplied by the beetles.

Didn’t need the code...

This was the very first geocache for us. Easy one to learn how it works. Now we are exciting to find many more!

On our way to Steamboat Springs for a couple of days, so we stopped to get this cache. We didn’t realize that there is no longer any need to get the clues, so we got them anyway (except the beetle clue is missing.). So we learned a bit and got a very nice cache in a new DeLorme page. TN,L-Moose TB

Got to show the new Rangers where it is! Fun find for us!

I'm glad we made the stop. I was able to find the cache and sign the log. I didn't trade anything.

Tried to find it on Monday, 8/7. Figured out Clue #1 but the lady at the visitor center couldn't help us out with the "daily wage" portion of Clue #2.

After an overnight camping trip, we stopped by the visitor center on the way home. We found all the clues, then realized there was no lock. It was fun to visit the enter & learn about the area. During our stay, we saw a black bear at a distance near the Michigan campgrounds & 2 moose in the Crags CG. We'll be back again!

Thanks for the cache. Was not sure why there were no locks, but now I have read other posts and know why.

Loved this one! Great location, definitely worth a stop. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgable about geocaching. This one gets a fav! Dropped a couple of bugs. TFTC!

The pins have been replaced on the ammo box and the cache cleaned and maintained. The lock has been removed as the climate up here is simply too hard on the locks. This is still a "clue-based" cache, so come in to the VC and ask for the "Land of Hidden Treasures", enjoy our displays while solving the clues and then access the cache. Enjoy the hunt :-) SFSP
