Dogs  Recommended for kids  Takes more than an hour  Scenic view  Significant hike  Not Recommended at night  Bicycles  No Motorcycles  No Quads  No Off-road vehicles  No Snowmobiles  No Horses  Medium hike (1km-10km)

DO NOT TRY FOR THIS CACHE AFTER DARK. AS THE SIGNS AT THE TRAILHEAD MENTION: THIS AREA IS OPEN FROM SUNRISE TO ONE HOUR AFTER SUNSET.
The cache is NOT at the above coordinates, although that is a great parking spot to grab this cache -- and lots of other ones, too! Nice, long but very scenic, kid friendly hike. We strongly recommend you take water and healthy snacks, and prepare for a 5.3 mile hike, if you are making the entire loop.
A huge THANK YOU to titocache for the inspiration for this series; after completing his Ring The Peak series, we were caught by the come-up-with-a-caching-series bug; we also plagiarized his puzzle-clue-in-each-cache idea.

This is the final cache of an 11 cache series. The coordinates of this cache can be calculated by discovering the puzzle clues placed in the following 10 Classic Movies caches:

1. Casablanca

2. The Great Escape

3. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

4. Cool Hand Luke

5. Patton

6. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

7. The Godfather

8. High Noon

9. The Wizard of Oz

10. Gone With the Wind

And the FINAL cache: Classic Movies FINAL cache

The 5/5 rating of this cache is based on having to find all 10 original movie caches listed above; if looked at as a solo cache, the terrain is more of a 3.5 with no snow or ice, higher depending on the amount of wintry cover.

If you have found the original movie caches listed above, and have written down all the clues, you should have 10 clues for letters A through J, each with a number. Now to find this final cache:

The coordinates of this final cache are: N 38 PQ.RST W 105 VW.XYZ

where:

P = A + 4

Q = B - 3

R = C + 4

S = D - 15

T = E + 5

and

V = F - 9

W = G - 4

X = H + 3

Y = I + 1

Z = J - 6

We really hope that you have enjoyed this series, and watching some movies along the way. If you have your solution, check it for accuracy at GeoChecker.com

BIG GIANT CONGRATULATIONS TO titocache for FTF on this 5/5 cache !!! And equally worthy: HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the geo-hiking-team of estes01 and ernie66 for 2TF (second to find) less than 30 minutes later. GREAT JOB !!!

THERE ARE DVD MOVIES IN THE CONTAINER; FEEL FREE TO TAKE ONE (OR TWO...). PLEASE BRING AND TRADE ANY SWAG THAT YOU FEEL IS APPROPRIATE TO CINEMA, AND THE JOY OF WATCHING A MOVIE, EITHER IN THE THEATER OR AT HOME -- WINTER IS RAPIDLY APPROACHING, AND DISCS PROBABLY WILL NOT SURVIVE LONG PERIODS OF EXTREME COLD.

We really hope you have enjoyed watching these (and other) movies, as we do. We also hope you have enjoyed the hikes -- sometimes short and easy, sometimes not so short or easy, but never so much trouble that the 3 Kidz -- ages 10, and 6 year old twins -- could not help Dad make the hike, and plant the cache. It was our intent to come up with a series that is kid-friendly, but also challenging and enjoyable, both at home, watching some enjoyable films, and out on the trail, getting some good exercise and finding "treasures" !

Happy caching to all !!!

The 3 Williams Kidz geo-team

What a fun adventure this series has been. We enjoyed watching all of these classic movies......some for the first time, and some on u-tube clips--ha!
The best part about this series, though, was all the amazingly beautiful trails we got to hike on to find each of the caches. Some of these trails were "old friends" but some of them are now new favorites.

Today we went for the final on a new trail to us. We started out early to beat the afternoon rain showers that have been coming in regularly lately. Perfect hiking weather! Found the final, signed the log, and then immediately were sorry that the adventure had ended.

Thanks 3WilliamsKids for preparing, placing and maintaining this CLASSIC series!!

Started this journey when the ROAD TRIP 15 asked you find a 5 D or 5 T. No way we could complete this by September 2nd but the interest to watch the movies and solve the puzzle was something we all wanted to do. On September 27th we (RustyBeerCan & Marma and Team W-Bar-V), went out for a day of caching up here in our area, where the fall colors were turning, picked up 4 that day. As often as we could we planned more outings to get the Classic Movies. 5 miles hikes were a challenge to each of us, even the 4 miles hikes but these were new trails to us and yet we found them so enjoyable. One day we got a good shower just as we reached the cache. Otherwise we had perfect weather each time we went out.
This Final Cache was on a trail we have been on many times and we so looked forward to this one especially and we kept saying we have to get this all done before winter sets in. We have never done a 5 Diff or a 5 Terrain, so needless to say we are so very happy to have completed this Mystery Challenge.
A special thanks goes out to our son Scott aka RustyBeerCan. He would work all night, come & go out caching with us and then go home to sleep a few hours before going back to work all night again.
Also a BIG Thank You Glenn & 3 Williams Kidz for giving us all the extra help we needed to make this a little easier for Lloyd & Helen aka as Team W-Bar-V, we might be in our mid 70's but we are keeping up. Thanks for the CachesSmileSmile

Finally got this one - I had collected all the clues and worked out the coordinates for the final earlier this year, but when I got to the trail head there was plenty of snow at the parking area, so knew that wasn't going to be the day. Today I got to within .25 miles of the cache when the sky just opened up and made me wait it out for a while. Guess I should've just stayed home and watched a movie! Thanks for the fun cache and getting me to rewatch those movies!
