ABOUT THE SERIES

The Stanford Hill Series is a 12-cache mini-geotour surrounding the Stanford Hill subdivision in Aurora. Stanford Hill was completed in 2003, and is conveniently situated between Antelope Ridge Elementary, Thunder Ridge Middle, and Eaglecrest High Schools. The 1100+ residents are proud of their clean, peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood. Please be discreet and stealthy while geocaching in this area. Please refrain from caching during school arrival and dismissal times, as well as after dark.

You will get the most enjoyment from the series by caching in numerical order. Refer to the “Parking” waypoint in cache #1, “Anteloper” (GC7WFBE), for the closest available parking. The walking distance for the entire series is about 2.5 miles.

Finding the final in the series, “What Does This Hill Stand For?” will require information obtained from within each of the caches in the series. This information is in the form of a numeric code, which when put together in order will give you the final cache coordinates.

So glad to be able to turn this frown upside down. The last time I was here it was getting close to dark & being so close to back yards I didn’t really want to use a torch. Came back today & in full sun I was able to spot it. Retrieving it was another challenge but I got er done. Slainte

Another one that has me baffled. Lots of leaves but tried to dig around in the corner as much as I could.

We did not find this one after much trying. But we are sure it’s here since it was found not too long ago and seems to be a bit difficult. May come back later to try to get this one again or get a hint from the CO

It took me two attempts to find this cache. Thank you for creating this series and helping to keep our recreation going.

Sneaky hide! Took some looking and some patience to grab the container, sign the log, and read the clue. Thanks for the cache!

Co-FTF with @LostinDenver , @fearthefish and @herndonrd. We had failed at this last night but with the group made the find. Herndonrd made the actual find but fearthefish tried to claim all the glory by stating he eliminated all the places it wasn't, making it easy to find !!

Last night 2lablovers and I came over here in an attempt for the first to find on this cache. We were thwarted by darkness and impatience. This morning we saw a log by Bob who could not find it either. But we all agreed to get a nearby cache and afterwards swung by this one to give it another shot. This time, Bob had the eagle eyes to spot the cache. FTF with a big group including Herndonrd, 2lablovers, and FeartheFish. Tftc!

[FTF] at 4:55 P.M. with LostinDenver, 2lablovers, and the always smiling herndonrd.

All three of them had DNF'D this cache previously, so I consider myself the good luck charm, even though it was herndonrd who actually found the container. We made sure to get the number for the final puzzle. Thanks for the fun hide and series.

P. S. No animals (including humans or PayMeCache) were harmed in the writing of this log.

{FTF} @ 1655 with LostinDenver, 2Lablovers and FeartheFish. Had earlier done the DNF thing. This may be more difficult than a 2. Second time around for SHS #11 also! TFTC!
