This is one of my new favorite set of trails. You can approach this from the trail head at the top of Baldy Rd, but it is allllllllll uphill to get to it. Awesome in the Spring for flowers and the fall for leaf peepers. Nice and cool in the summer with lots of shady trails. Lots of mountain bikers, so be aware.
You can go to Valdero on Boreas Pass and go uphill to Bakers Tank intersect and Mt Pride and then take the Mt Pride trail to the hide.
Or go to Bakers Tank, which has a nice slow incline to Mt Pride Trail to the hide, this is my favorite way.
Hint... We park one car at Baldy Road Trail head, then drive to either Valdero or Bakers Tanks on Baldy Road, walk the trail to the dropped off car (passing two geocaches along the way), and then drive back on Boreas Pass to pick up the 2nd car. Makes for a nice long 4 mile hike, but mostly downhill.
Has log, pencil, sharpener, a bandanna or two for fido, some bookcrossing books, pirate coins, a string bag. Enjoy
Please be sure to cover the hide back up, when you find it.

10/13/2021 By D.A.D.D. Hiking along the beautiful snow covered trail from Baker Tank. The fresh snow made this one a bit more difficult, but I had it in a minute or so. Took the Isle Royale postcard since I'm from Michigan. I'll fill it out with the details of my adventures this trip out west, and send it back. Cool idea! Out here in Breckenridge visiting my son and his family, having a great time on Day 1. TFTC! D.A.D.D. Troy, MI
