Welcome to the Challenge Cache Scenic Byway!

                                                               THIS IS A CHALLENGE CACHE

The Sixth Installment of Challenge Based Geocaches.

After years of hard work, I have finally completed my first Mystery Fizzy. To commemorate that special occasion I have decided to create a new Extreme Challenge for others to join the club. You may post a note at any time, but in order to officially log this challenge, you'll need to fill in all 81 D/T combos with Unknown/Mystery finds.  Please use the Checker provided to confirm your achievement, or to track your progress. Any "FOUND" logs without a corresponding positive Checker Confirmation will be deleted.  Cell coverage is a bit spotty up here, best to download the coordinates ahead of time.  This is a Winter Friendly cache, the road is paved but subject to harsh conditions in Winter at 11,000 feet.  Adequate 4 wheel drive is absolutely recommended.  There is a nice pullout/parking spot nearby.  Enjoy your hunt, and BYOP!

A beautiful morning for a hike on Pence Mt. Headed towards Idaho Springs afterwards to grab a few caches. Qualify for this one and realized that I have 1 square = 1 and the next lowest square is 3, so need to bump up that single square for a few more laps! Cheers!

I was thrilled when I saw that this one was published today! This will bring me to 310 days on my FTF calendar and it also gets me another FTF D/T combination. I could hardly control my excitement as I raced out to the location. I guess the adrenaline was a bit too much for my brain, though, because I made finding this one much harder than it had to be. I even had some dread thoughts about having to walk away with a DNF. Fortunately, I calmed down and took some deep breaths and continued my search.

This road is definitely turning into GD74's challenge highway! Keep them coming.
