Brookside, Colorado: Population 242. Established in 1888 and incorporated in 1913. Brookside shares a zip code with Caņon City, but is a separately incorporated town.

Be sure to visit Spring Creek Park (see waypoint) with its remnants of many coal mining structures (and several geocaches).

Easy parking across the street. Stealth will be required at times. Beyond the fence is private property. Don't go there.
