Located in Hartman Rocks recreational area obviously, but off the beaten path.
This is yet another cache in my Hartman Rocks series. The cache is in a clear plastic Rubbermaid container. The cache is less than 100 feet from the road so some hiking and rock climbing is required. I would definitely recommend 4WD on the road as it can be steep and rough as you approach from one direction.

There's no view of Gunnison from this cache, but I think it's a nice area. There is a nice panoramic view of the western edge of the Hartman Rocks Recreation area.

Quick find this morning on my last day in Gunnison. What a beautiful spot! I didn't have a 4x4, so I left my vehicle parked by the motocross park on the western approach. After a pleasant but envigorating 1/4 mile hike, I had the cache in hand. Thanks for the hide - everything is in order!
