Pomeroy Lake is a beautiful high mountain lake. The cache is a short walk from the parking with views of the lake and surrounding area.
This cache is only accessible during the summer months. I would recommend a high clearance 4x4 or ATV. On the way to the cache you will see the Mary Murphy Mine.

With a Jeep group doing the Pomeroy Lake and Mary Murphy Mine trails. This was too close not to go for. Cache is in good shape, all dry inside. TFTC

Fun day jeeping and caching with WingsAndTales. Beautiful mountain lake and the weather cooperated just long enough. Thanks for placing a cache there.

It's a rough road but a beautiful spot for a cache. We had lunch out here after jeeping and hiking on Chrysolite Mountain. TFTC

This was a great location. Rode over from the Tincup area. I was definitely feeling the altitude here. Cache is in great shape.

CB_Beauty and I rented a 4wd Jeep to clear some geocaches in the area, and boy, was it worth it! I started out as a off-road novice, and after 2 days of rock-climbing, I love it and what that Rubicon can do. We cached for a day, crossing Tin Cup Pass, climbed to Pomeroy Lake, camped near Pomeroy Lake, then crossed Hancock Pass, and made the trek up to the Alpine Tunnel. Whew! What a cacher does for smileys!

This cache tested my jeeping abilities, and wow, what a view up here. There was one lone tent and quad up here, but we saw no one. We made the grab as storm clouds were rolling in, but the rain held off while we were up here. This is a beautiful area.
