From the time when kids had to walk uphill both ways in a blizzard to get to school. The Yuma County Historical society has set out to locate and mark the old country schools.

The District was formed in 1917 and rang thru 1948 The school was located about a 1/2 mile to south east in the middle of the section. There is a few teachers listed in the records.. Other than that, there wasnt much information recorded on this school

CO FTF with denbomans. Visiting from Southern Illinois and exploring the eastern plains of Colorado. This Yuma County School Project caught our attention. The history is so well researched and caches nicely hidden. We are enjoying the experience. Thanks for placing all the fun

Yay {FTF} 10:45 a.m. we’ve been wanting to work on this series for a while and we knew the SiBo’s were coming for a visit so thought it would be fun to get them out on the plains and on top of that have a chance to get some Colorado FTF’s. Love the series concept, love the history and love the hides.
