We looked here today. This tree has fallen over and is now chopped up with just a bit of the base left ....you may want to hide another one.

Atomic Corgi and I were in search for a terrain 5 cache which is what brought us into this part of town today. Nothing like a good old fashion tree climb. He started before me as I had to run back to the car for a pen. When I started out, one of the smaller branches actually snapped under me but thankfully I was near the ground haha.

The cache was a quick spot and the climb wasn't too bad at all. Afterwards, I made my way over to the horses who were very friendly. A couple of cars passed by while we were here but we had the area entirely to ourselves while searching. After a brief stint without signal, I was glad that I had it for in this little spot. Posted some videos of the adventure on Instagram.

MORE NOW! I took the day off to do some caching in Parker with my dad who played chauffeur and my daughter who was taking a "field trip" for homeschooling. Hey - we got some Jim Reeb virtuals so there's history!

This has been on my list for a while. I need it for my DT grid which I'm slowly working on completing. After these - only 5 spots left! This was our second stop along the way. We had brought a ladder but ended up not using it. My daughter loves climbing trees but this pushed her to the limit. I never saw the cache when she finally found it. Hindsight being 20/20, I should've made the climb. But she was very brave and I spotted for her. Even though the cache is not in it's original spot, it definitely retains it's rating. Well done to @herndonrd for replacing it where you did. That is pretty gnarly! The attached picture shows my daughter at the cache location. Yeah. Maybe not my best parenting moment! But everyone is safe and sound and it is definitely something she won't forget!

Thanks for the hide PayMeCache. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.

So excited and happy that we got this cache. When we were making up our list for today we realized this satisfied one of the D/T combos we need. Got there and looked and looked but could not see the cache from the ground. So hubby got his TOTT out of the car and up he went while Fred and I watched from the ground. Up up up he went - I was getting nervous and told him he should just quit but he ignored me. A few more minutes and he was signing the log and then made it safely back down. For a country road this was surprisingly busy but no one paid any attention to us. Thank you PayMeCache for hiding just the cache we needed !!

Every cache has a story. This one more than most. Needed this one to fill a D/T square so went over while my daughter was riding at a nearby stable. My GPS, phone and Google all pointed to a huge downed tree. Here is where I should have phoned the CO but I couldn't believe the tree would have broken and fallen over since the cache was placed so I climbed the tree just to the NW. No luck. After conferring with the CO and some other finders, decided that the tree had indeed come crashing down (picture attached). I told the CO that I would go back today and look for the container which I did find and then placed way up in the tree just to the NW (view from there attached). CO will update the coordinates. I would reco bringing a small ladder to get into the tree and climbing "around" it is probably best. My 6'5" frame has knocked out most of the offending little branches but the climb is not for the faint of heart. I worked so hard that I will give it a fav! TFTC!

PS I really need to get a monkey!

Trust. Faith. Hope. That was my Mantra while climbing this tree in the middle of Darkness on a cold December evening. You must be half monkey... No take that back. You must be full monkey to have slithered your way between those twisting branches to place this cache. Thank you for this awesome adventure! I love love love tree cashes. Tftc!
