From the time when kids had to walk up hill both ways to school in a blizzard, the Yuma County Historical society has set out to locate and mark as many country schools as possible.
On April 8, 1910 the legal voters of Township 1 Range 48 met in order to form a new school district. There were 10 legal voters all voting to organize a public school. The area for the school district was to be all of Township 1 South Range 48 West.
Names of children listed in the petition were: Thompsons, Woods, Tanners, Neiferts, and Bakers.
In 1924 the voters on the east side of the district voted to form a new district and Dist 107 was cut off from Dist 21
in 1951 the district was annexed to Yuma
