From the time when kids had to walk up hill both ways to school in a blizzard, the Yuma County Historical society has set out to locate and mark as many country schools as possible.

There is very little information found on this school. The Yard to the north has a very nice school house that he has restored but its not the Fairview School

On April 21, 1924 the voters of the east part of District 21 voted to create their own school district and it became District 107 Fairview. The plat map at that time shows the division of District 21 and 107. The school house for District 107 is marked as being in Section 11 in the NE quarter and the school for Dist. 21 in SW corner of Section 17.

District 107 Fairview was dissolved on May 29, 1951 and annexed to Dist. 1, Yuma.

CO FTF with denbomans. Visiting from Southern Illinois and exploring the eastern plains of Colorado. This Yuma County School Project caught our attention. The history is so well researched and caches nicely hidden. We are enjoying the experience. Thanks for placing all the fun

Yay {FTF} 9:45 a.m. we’ve been wanting to work on this series for a while and we knew the SiBo’s were coming for a visit so thought it would be fun to get them out on the plains and on top of that have a chance to get some Colorado FTF’s. Love the series concept, love the history and love the hides.
Thanks for the fun!
