On a steep hill between the CMC Campus and Hwy. 24.
This is a Glad container, the kind with the blue top, hidden on a steep hill outside of the Colorado Mountain College campus. Taking the bike path up to Tabor's General Store is easiest, then it's basically straight up. Original contents are a few balls, a hackysack, and a laser pointer. It is on a steep incline, so if you're not accustomed to 10,000 feet, take it easy. This one isn't very hard, really, but no need to kill yourself. And for goodness sake, be careful on the way down! And I've now fixed the coordinates twice. Any other inaccuracies just count into finding it at this point. As for winter, I've personally tried to find it in there, unfortunately, it's completely buried in snow once that first one comes down hard. Sorry, winter geocachers.

Not quite a lonely cache, but I'm glad we could visit this one now.

Spent a couple nights in Leadville to acclimate and be closer to the mountains. Arrived pretty late on Saturday but just had enough time to make a loop around town picking up caches before the sun went down. Was surprised how little trouble I had with the altitude around town, crazy how these ordinary caches will be close to the top of my find list.

Started off crossing the road to get this one. Really interesting looking bike trail.

Greetings from Oklahoma. Last week of a month long cache trip to Colorado. Drove over from Avon for a day of caching. Finding a good variety of caches. TFTH

We were at the top of the hill and gps said we were only 100 feet from cache but it seemed too steep to maneuver down with my kids. We will have to skip this one for now.

Staying in an RV Park near by. Love this area. Out doing some site seeing with John4x4 and picking up a few caches along the way. Thanks for the smiley faces.

My first one in CO! Found easily during my short stay in Leadville. After coming from the stifling hot southeastern deserts, the temperatures up here are much more pleasant.
