This easy cache is hidden at just over 11,700 feet. The cache is a large (10x3 inches) plastic Coffeemate creamer canister than has been camoed. Cache contains a log book, pen and pencil and various small trading items. From the cache location you will have a great view of Leadville and Turquoise Lake. Parking for the cache is at an old mine site. From the parking area, you will have a short walk to the cache site along mostly level terrain.

Spent a little off-time from guiding visiting some mining areas East of Leadville. Mostly 4X4 roads in this area with great vistas and postcard perfect views of mining the history in this area of Colorado - simply beautiful. TFTC! :-)

Awesome view. Using a calendar for the log is very clever! We might steal that idea. Thanks for taking us to the area. There were no items to trade. We left a key chain with pink boxing gloves to celebrate our 20th year of surviving cancer and an army man in honor of our nephew who is serving in the army. TFTC
