Needless to say, this cache is located along the Colorado Trail.
A high clearance vehicle is a must to drive to this cache. I drove to the spot without 4-wheel drive, but decided to come back by a different route and I needed 4-wheel drive to get through some rather rough places. As a result, I've rated this cache at 4.

You can get to this cache by one of two routes. To place the cache I drove north of Gunnison and turned on county road 51. I'll leave it up to you about how to proceed from there. I came back through Tomichi Heights east of Gunnison.

Additional Waypoints
C2Y7F3 - Navajo Lane (Ct Rd 72) access
N 38° 33.102 W 106° 53.427
This seems fairly easy at the start, but the trail is rough.
CTY7F3 - Sage Drive (Ct Rd 51) access
N 38° 33.817 W 106° 55.292
This should be the easiest approach to the cache.

 Hints

If you've found my Signal Peak cache, you know the way I came back, but be prepared to use 4-wheel drive and be very careful.

4 wheel drive is good to have but if you follow the signal peak route, a sturdy truck is all you really need. However, I parked where at the intersection where one road goes to signal peak, one is the road I came on, one goes straight, and one goes toward the cache. It is possible to drive right to the cache but I would highly recommend a very strong 4 wheel drive vehicle. Also, I would not recommend going straight. I did and had to turn around eventually. But still a very fun 4 wheel drive cache. My Jeep had fun as well.

Went up in our Jeep and we followed one TOUGH runner, he ran all the way up to signal peak. Took fifty cents and left a tire gauge. TFTC

I hiked to this cache from Silver Sage Drive. Carbon Mt. and the West Elks were spectaculary white in the distance. The cache was out in the open so I hid it better before I left. I took Swede's mini CD and left a dream catcher keychain. Th CD is wonderful. Thanks for sharing your views.

Nice road above Gunnison. Had fun with friends. Signed log book and replaced cache and changed a flat tire. Still had a lot of fun with friends.
