An easy cache to add to your geocaching experience in the grasslands.

The Pawnee is an internationally known birding area. It supports many bird species, especially during migration. The Colorado State Bird, the lark bunting, is very common on the grassland in spring and summer. The grassland also has many unique high plains bird species such as the mountain plover, burrowing owl and many birds of prey. Hiking, camping, picnicking, horseback riding and stargazing are also popular activities. Pronghorn, mule deer, coyote, swift fox, snakes and prairie dogs are just a few of the species that make the prairie their home.

Find #49303

Its been a long hot summer in Texas, I've been trying to get out and do a caching trip a couple of times this summer, but it never worked out. Finally managed to get a week off, and am so happy to be out here in Colorado. The weather if perfect, and there is a load of caches that need my name on Smile Thanks so much for the hide kaiwarrior, I really enjoyed finiding this cache!

@windatmyback and I undertook an amazing adventure yesterday... 150 caches in one day. Caches were generally in great shape. Some had wet logs. Thanks to all who placed caches along this power trail in Northern Colorado and Wyoming. Tftc!

Acachingcat and I came to the area from Florida. We had virtuals and Earth caches in our sights. We landed on the 23rd and hit the ground running. We saw many sights and ended up visiting Nebraska, Wyoming, New Mexico, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. We hiked many mountains and experienced so many wonderful things. Thanks for bringing us here. We loved learning all about the history of your areas along the way as well. We also grabbed a few other caches along the way. Any answers and photos needed will be submitted by Acachingcat. Thanks again for the epic journey.
