I had my eye on this cache for quite some time. It hadn't been found in almost 5 years and it had a travel bug in it that had been there for almost 7 years. The cache only had 3 found logs on it since it was hidden in 2012. Today was the day. I drove up there and made the modest hike up what looks like an old trail or road that is fairly overgrown but still a fairly easy walk. I made my way to ground zero as my anticipation and excitement grew. When I arrived, I did not immediately spot the cache but then I remembered the hint and then knew where it must be and there it was in perfectly fine shape. I opened the cache and there was the log book on top. I opened it and saw that there was a new signature on it - and it was signed today!!! And the travel bug was no longer there either. I was there about 9 am. "Newell" must have been there earlier today and he added "no GPS".

I'm still giving this a favorite point.

We love these types of areas. The hint was very useful as the coordinates were off a little with the trees. Awesome old trail to enter on. Expecting cougars in the area. A nice bone yard. Poisonous mushrooms. Took coyotetechy's Cache to Eagle Geocoin. Left golf ball. TFTC

We were on our way back down I-70 after attending the Mountain Chillin' 4x4 event and had some daylight left to grab a few more caches. I didn't follow the cache instructions so I imagine we went up & down steeper than we needed to. Parking was a little tough too, but the road was not very busy. Sure is an interesting valley with that pretty big neighborhood at the end. I left a mini eraser.
