Welcome to the Denver Orbital Trail or DOT for short. 177 miles of trails that circumnavigate Denver metro broken up into 28 segments. It was created from existing trails, parks and greenways. Most are dog friendly and bike friendly but always check current rules and regulations before you begin any hike. The segments vary in length from 2-12 miles long. Most segments are easy to moderate but there are a few strenuous sections as well.

This segment runs from the Apex Park Parking Lot to Morrison Park.

From Dinosaur Ridge, through Matthews/Winters Park up the Morrison Slide. Then you'll descend into Red Rocks Park on the Trading Post Trail. Segment ends near downtown Morrison, Colorado

Difficulty: Strenuous

Length: 7.8 miles.

Congrats to Greasepot for FTF!

Clever container! Grabbed my daily Sept cache on my way to meet-up with friends for an overnight Hut trip. Cache in good shape. Thanks for the hide.

Second find of this cool new series and the last smiley of the afternoon after running an errand nearby. I love Apex park and this place was pretty busy this afternoon with people enjoying the last little bit of Summer, only 10 days left! I really like these little containers; added my ink, returned as found and made my way back up the hill to chop wood. TFTC!

Back on the trail trying to pick up a few more of the DOT caches. Managed to get this one, SL and returned as found. Great job by YamaGypsy putting this series together. We are really enjoying the areas that have these many placements.
Thanks for the fun!

found a better no wasp zone

No luck today. I zeroed at the bicycle tool station. But if it’s in there with the wasps the wasps are doing a good job guarding it. Thanks
