Welcome to the Denver Orbital Trail or DOT for short. 177 miles of trails that circumnavigate Denver metro broken up into 28 segments. It was created from existing trails, parks and greenways. Most are dog friendly and bike friendly but always check current rules and regulations before you begin any hike. The segments vary in length from 2-12 miles long. Most segments are easy to moderate but there are a few strenuous sections as well.

This segment runs from Red-Tail Park to Heritage Regional Park.

You will walk along the Big Dry creek trail from Red-Tail Park to Highland Heritage Regional Park.

Difficulty: Moderate; 4.3 miles.

Congrats to Kroozer for the FTF!

Found it this time with the help of a fellow cacher. Knowing where to look is very helpful. Nice hide. SL

I had a little time to kill before Bowlero opened for a small party. After picking up my older daughter from school we headed over here for a nice walk. I assumed the wrong beacon at first and we looked and felt at all angles. Then I checked the visual overhead map and switched to the other side of the path. Still took some looking but my eagle-eyed daughter spotted it! Well hidden despite being the type of container I'd expect to see here. I'm enjoying the series!

Thanks for the hide YamaGypsy

Ran over here in pitch darkness the other night and struck out, but made the find fairly quickly in daylight today. Coords are absolutely perfect. Tftc!

I took the walk to find this one. Several muggles passed me along the trail, so I knew I would have to be careful. After several circles around the host I started wondering if it might be missing. Another muggle passed and I checked one more time. This one is there and placed very well!
Thanks for the cache!

Back on the trail trying to pick up a few more of the DOT caches. Managed to get this one, SL and returned as found. Very nice hide. Great job by YamaGypsy putting this series together. We are really enjoying the areas that these many placements have brought us to.
Thanks for the fun!

Searched and searched until I realized that there were updated coords. What?! Fortunately, the second location turned out to be to be a quick find! Signed a blank log at 12:10 pm as FTF. Thanks for the cache!
