Warning - Some scrambling required! This cache is placed at what was once a mine tunnel. It has since been caved in, leaving a heap of rocks where the entrance would be.
Taylor Gulch was one of the highest gold and silver producing places near Garfield. Just take a look at all of the tailings piles laying around... To get to GZ, I would recommend trying to park at the New York mine. You can either hike UP to the mine where the cache is from here, slipping and sliding on loose rocks, OR you can hike up the road for a little bit and at one of the switchbacks begin slipping and sliding DOWN to the mine. Your choice. I chose to do the latter.
With that said, please be careful. Have fun slipping (I mean hiking...) to the cache and good luck!
