This cache is easy to reach, doesn't require a lot of hiking, and may not be available in winter due to snow.
WhiskeyBit and I were on a Live By Living retreat at the Peter Estin hut, about 200 yards from this cache. We created this cache to spread the word about Live By Living. Others will be created to further that goal.
Live By Living offers retreats, day hikes and snowshoe trips, and walks in parks for cancer survivors and caregivers. These are transformative outdoor experiences for cancer survivors and their caregivers. Their day hikes, snowshoe outings, and cancer survivor retreats are structured to help you build up your strength and stamina, to find solace in the beauty of nature, and to inspire, and be inspired by, others who are traveling along the cancer journey. There is no cost to participate thanks to generous support from the George Karl Foundation, as well as other donors.
Both of us have experienced wonderful retreats and the healing Nature provides at them, and love Live By Living. We encourage you to tell everyone you know who is on a cancer journey, or who is a caregiver to someone on that journey, about Live By Living.
