Cowboy looked up and saw a girl with golden hair flashing in the sunlight.  She was riding her Palomino on a spur trail west of the main traveled road.  Cowboy had just traveled that spur trail coming back from his hunting trip.  He had not seen any game, but he did run into a several rough looking men on horses.  Their clothes and hats were dirty and all their faces were heavily tanned and they each had scruffy beards.  Their horses were all lathered up indicating they had traveled far and fast.  They could be the outlaw gang who was responsible for spree of cattle rustling in the Monticello-Dove Creek area.  The gang might have the cattle bunched up in the Yellow Jacket box canyon.  And the girl was headed right into big trouble.  Cowboy jumped on his horse and spurred him into a gallop.  He caught up to the girl about a half mile down the trail and grabbed her horse’s reins to keep her from traveling further.  She was angry and shouted “What are you doing with my horse?”  Cowboy explained the situation. The girl said she lived on a ranch in Pleasant View a few miles north.  She turned around and headed back.  Cowboy asked if he could ride along and escort her safely home.  She gladly accepted his offer and by the time they reached her ranch they had become future friends.

I was out this way for a job and figured since I was here I might as well stop. It took a couple of tries before my phone could locate itself. Once it did this was an easy park and grab.
