Went up Princeton today and looked for this cache. When we first got to the peak there were just two others there so I was able to search a fair bit around the wind shelters but then several more people began arriving. Eventually I gave up without locating the container.

TFTC SL. In Colorado for a few days 4 wheeling and grabbing a few caches. While riding in Leadville yesterday, got a cache over 12,000 feet only to find out KCCG has found one at 14,100 feet. Saw Mt. Princeton Cache is at 14,197 feet and had to find it for bragging rights. Four wheeled as high as we could to around 11,600 feet to hiking trailhead. GPS said cache was a mere 1.5 miles away.....but 2597 feet higher. Grabbed one bottle of water and took off telling rest of the group I’d be back in a couple of hours. (NOT).

Took a bit over two hours to reach summit, where I went to GZ and started looking. After a few minutes of searching, a few other climbers that were there began asking me what I was looking for. Didn’t want to tell them but they seemed genuinely interested and helped with the hunt. After they got discouraged, they quickly left but wished me good luck, leaving me by myself and just 1/3 of bottle of water. Expanded my search area and looked for another good thirty minutes.
Didn’t want to leave empty handed and went with my Geo senses and finally found the cache!!!!!

Signed the log, took numerous pictures, placed the cache back exactly as I found it........and headed back down the mountain. This is my first ever attempt at mountain hiking, total lapsed time was five hours, which included at least 45 minutes searching for the cache. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. Never would have done this climb if not for this cache, and motivation from KCCG. Cache on.

Found quickly by mbchendrickclan on the summit - that was nice. We signed the log and rested on the summit for a few minutes before heading down. TFTC!
