The first part of the trail was pretty muddy and I was expecting not to continue the hike. But when the trail began to rise and follow the south face, conditions were much better. The view from the cache was worth maneuvering around lots of cacti. It is nice when these oldies are still in play. Thanks for placing this one.

This was our last cache for the day. Once we saw the arrow it was easy to see the container. Lots of trading items inside. On the way back to the trail, Chris miss-stepped on a loose rock and went for a ride. Ouch! A scratched-up hand, torn jeans and 2 goose eggs on the shins. Yet it could have been worse. She was lucky not to have fallen into cacti. All in all it was a good day! Thanks for placing this nice cache.

Wow ! What a great cache !
As we planned our this year's summer vacation in the USA we were looking for some cool caches ... and this one was one of it ... so we stored it and today we were here to search it . Thanks for showing us this beautiful trail that we woudn't have noticed without geocaching ! Although it was a little bit strenuous we enjoyed the spectacular views in this beautiful area ! We love such remote caches !
Concerning the cache we don't know whether we chose the best way to it ... ;-) ! For me, "Mrs.tanami71" it was a "T5" as I used a stick that I found on the way as a walking aid and tool, but "Mr.tanami71" managed it without that tool :-) !
TFTC with a blue heart and greetings from Stuttgart, Germany !
Yippee !

I had a very enjoyable 2 days of cache-finding in the Canon City area, focusing on certain challenge caches, the three Virtual caches I still needed as I work my way toward finding all of Colorado's still-active virtuals (I'm getting close!), and making some fun hikes for some back-country caches that were of specific interest. I satisfied all of my objectives on the trip, and look forward now to proving up my qualifications on the challenges and logging my finds.
I was delighted with the caliber of geocaches in the area--some creative hides, some very well-maintained caches, and many containers loaded with nice swag and TBs and geocoins, etc. It's rare these days to find such a concentration of well-cared for caches. I'm grateful for the experiences. Thank you!
This was a particularly enjoyable hike and cache find. Everything was in fine condition. I'm really grateful to hiders of such early caches who have found a way of keeping them maintained and active (even if they are relying on local cachers for the occasional maintenance). These old caches are real treasures!

We went out today seeking our Month Challenge - (Month) caches working in tandem with Sasquatchandwife. Our geocaching dogs, Ginger the Amazing Geocaching American Bulldog and Moose the Amazing Geocaching Chocolate Labrador Retriever had a great day and so did their humans. We had several hikes uphill both ways, learned two heartbreaking stories along the way, and found the Month Challenge Final right at sunset. Thanks to all the CO's for placing these caches for us to find.
